Tomorrow at around 7:30 P.M., I'm going to be baptized.
I don't know how to start this off so I'm just going to jump in. ~
The wages of sin is death. The destiny of sinners is the second death in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. God's ultimate salvation plan for us is to go into the land he calls us and he will make us into a great nation.
-Romans 6:6-8
For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin- because anyone who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
We are saved by grace and through faith alone. No actions of ours have earned us our salvation. Being baptized means to be baptized into Jesus' death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the father, we too may live a new life. Tomorrow I will be baptized and officially declare my faith in Jesus Christ. I desire to be baptized also because Jesus has called us to be baptized. His plan for us is always in our best interest. All the more reason to listen and follow.
